My journey as an artist began at our summer home on Muhu Island, where I discovered the magic of ceramics. One day, sitting comfortably in a small log house, I realized that store-bought tableware simply didn’t blend with the unique atmosphere of the place. I wanted to create something myself – something that would express my personal creative drive. It wasn’t long before I found myself taking ceramics courses in Muhu, then studying at Kuressaare Vocational School, and eventually establishing my own ceramics studio.

All of my ceramic creations are made from the heart. Every cup, plate, and sculpture reflects that excitement and dedication. Whenever I couldn’t find something that felt right for me, I created it myself, bringing unique and personal handmade pieces to life.

My artistic journey, however, took me further than I could ever have dreamed. Inspiration and a desire to continue a tradition passed down through generations led me to Kuressaare Vocational School, where I decided to study leathercraft. My mother, who was herself a talented leather artist, was a great role model for me, and I felt called to carry on this beautiful tradition of craftsmanship.

For me, leathercraft is not only a skill, but also an endless source of inspiration. Every piece I create from leather, whether it is a handbag, wallet, or belt, carries its own story and emotion. These pieces are born from personal need and shaped by an innate sense of artistry.

The works of art I create from both clay and leather tell the story of my life, opening a door into my world, where every detail is like a heartbeat – alive, meaningful, and unique.
